Presbyterian Communities and Services hires new Director of Project Development

It is with great pleasure that Presbyterian Communities and Services announces the hiring of Christopher Songer, Director of Project Development.

Christopher M. Songer has over 20 years of experience in development and construction management, specifically in regards to field and office operations in all phases of commercial construction.

Prior to working with Presbyterian Communities and Services, Mr. Songer served as the Executive Vice President of Development for US Memory Care, and prior to that, was Owner and managing partner of Songer Construction, Inc., a family-owned commercial construction company that worked for multiple government and public enterprises.

Mr. Songer’s responsibilities with US Memory Care included implementation and management of capital real estate development projects & programs for Healthcare providers, as well as mixed use real estate.   Healthcare real estate development includes Rehabilitation Hospitals, Surgery Centers, Medical Office Buildings, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing and Memory Care.

Mr. Songer oversaw all construction projects for U.S. Memory Care.  Working closely with his Construction/Project Management/Risk Management Team, Mr. Songer focused his attention on project completion, cost controls, job safety and contractor and design team relations. Mr. Songer also provided the construction management services on several Texas based Senior Housing Communities working with the Texas Department of Aging and Disabilities.

In his spare time, Mr. Songer enjoys cooking for friends and family, exercising, hockey, landscape and gardening, as well as working in his model train room.
