Skilled Nursing Center

There are times residents at Grace need comprehensive nursing care and medical supervision, often after a hospital stay. Our Skilled Nursing Center is consistently ranked among the best in the state by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS). Additionally, U.S. News & World Report named Grace one of the “Best Nursing Homes 2014” for its 5-star ratings in health inspections, nurse staffing and quality measures as ranked by Medicare.

The high standard of excellence in our Skilled Nursing Center is maintained by a select team of health care professionals dedicated to providing thoughtful and compassionate care.

Rehabilitation Center

If a resident’s physician recommends a “rehab” program, the continuing care approach at Grace welcomes residents to the Rehab Center for a short stay. At the Rehab Center, residents enjoy 24-hour nursing care, beautiful common areas, state-of-the-art equipment at our renowned Hillcrest Spa and Fitness Center, and the same heart-warming compassionate care found everywhere at Grace to make Each Moment Matter.

In addition to being there for our residents, our services are also available for short-stay rehabilitation.  It is the ideal place for individuals who need short-term comprehensive inpatient care and physical rehab directly following a hospital stay.

Grace’s Hillcrest Spa and Fitness Center serves as the hub for our Wellness Program and our Medicare-Certified Rehabilitation. It features a large pool for aquatic therapy and recreation, locker rooms with nooks for rest and relaxation after a workout, an exercise room for group classes, and weight-training and cardio equipment. Our experienced wellness team will develop a personal workout plan to meet your individual needs. You can complete your day in our delightful coffee bar, or enjoy a pedicure, a Vichy shower, or massage.

At Grace, you can utilize Medicare benefits, private insurance and private funds to obtain exceptional care and rehabilitation services on an outpatient basis.  Our therapies and services include:

Aquatic Therapy
Our spectacular temperature-controlled pool provides for year-round aquatic therapy, the most progressive form of physical rehabilitation. Participants benefit from increased strength, mobility, and reduced pain. Safe, challenging and fun, aquatic therapy is less stressful on injured joints and can be started earlier than other therapy measures.

Strength Training
Our fitness center is equipped with the latest exercise and strength-training equipment. Each piece of equipment has been carefully selected based on its suitability for adults of all ages. The Grace therapy team integrates these exercise tools into your care plan to help you achieve your rehabilitation goals.

Spa and Relaxation Services
Rehabilitation is made easier in a relaxing setting. Our spa features amenities and services designed for your comfort, such as manicures, pedicures, facials, and a menu of soothing massage services.

Advanced Treatments
Grace offers technologically advanced treatments for faster recovery from pain and muscle weakness, such as Ultrasound Therapy and Diathermy. We also offer intense stroke recovery programs with the use of Bioness technology, helping to promote faster muscle return for paralyzed hands and improve walking.
